we decided to spend the holiday like everyone else who actually comes to the lake instead of lives here; on it. so we took out a speed boat from mill creek marina, and drove it about 30 miles over to lighthouse marina (where we’ve been working) to fill up and see the crew.
on the boat dock at mill creek we saw this gar fish in the water. creepy to think that we swim with those things - their mouths are like alligators, sorta. that’s stephen who works at the fuel dock and doesn’t like having his picture taken, but we did anyways. natz. and lastly a gorgeous beneteau sailboat in the sunset on the ride home. a little typical, but also pretty stunning. hope y’all enjoy!

finally got our fishing licenses yesterday so we could go out with jim and michael this morning. didn’t come home with dinner or a 20 pounder to mount on our walls, but it was a nice way to start the day.

michael bought a rad fishing boat while we were away on our road trip and he took us out on it tonight for our first time. he drove us over to the dam and we caught a lovely sunset, but no fish. we need to buy our fishing licenses soon so we can catch some dinner!
